not only is Lopez much more level, but there
are far fewer cars and the residents are used to bikes. the
island is pastoral with plenty of quite places to stop. don’t
miss the home made ice cream shop just south of Lopez Village, the park across Fisherman
Bay and Kings Point on the west side south of the golf course. those are
some of my favorite spots

Orcas Island
I was just kayaking/whale watching on san juan island with a very
knowdledgeable guide. She said that Lopez Island is better for cyclilng than
Orca, due to it being flatter.
It was lovely up there, hope this trip comes to fruition!
