3485 S Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO
Usually I prefer to do this on a Saturday night however I thought it would be a nice way to break up the week and a wonderful way to welcome the start of Spring this year!
I am planning to leave the Morrison Park-n-ride by 7:00 to go to the trailhead. Please be there by 6:45 to get car pooling organized to head over. The full moon is scheduled to rise at 8:05 and I would like to be up on the plateau in plenty of time to watch it rise. It is beautiful from where we will be located with a spectacular view of Denver.
Your welcome to bring various wines to taste while we watch the moon rise. If you bring a bottle of wine please bring an opener and be willing to share with everyone. Anyone wanting to taste the wine please bring a cup in which to pour your wine in.
Length: 3-mile loop
Optional to bring:
a windbreaker or rain jacket, water, wine & a cup to drink from and a camera. Snacks are welcome and please bring a bag to take all your trash back down the hill.
***Please remember to bring a light for the trail down as it will only be lit by the light of the silvery moon!
From C-470 & Morrison Rd., continue west on Morrison Rd. (County Rd. 93), to Rooney Rd., right on Rooney Rd., right into park-n-Ride. It is the first right coming off of C470 heading into Morrison, then the park-n-ride is the first right across the street from Conoco.
For anyone that cannot make this one I will put on a couple more later this year so keep your eyes open. Please be kind as this is a popular hike and if you cannot make it change your RSVP so others on the wait list can go. I am opening this hike to an additional 10 people on the wait list. I would like a volunteer to bring up the rear going up the trail to account for everyone going on the hike. If you need to reach me before the hike my cell # is[masked], please call me after 5pm as this doubles as my work phone!
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
