Trail Description: This steep, out-and-back trail climbs up the Wild Basin, offering views of the St. Vrain drainage to the east, Mt Copeland to the west. Sandbeach Lake is aptly named for its wide, sandy shoreline. Unlike most lakes in the Wild Basin Area that reside in narrow alpine valleys, Sandbeach Lake is located on a broad flat free of confining valley walls. Its open perimeter promotes exploration, and gives the area a uniquely spacious feel.
