I used to kayak alot, esp. around the Deland area, and have also ocean kayaked and snorkeled and camped from a kayak. Hope to get back into it. I love seeing wildlife and have seen bobcat, gators, sharks, etc. from kayak. Also love my pets!

If people are interested, I could lead a trip around Hontoon Island, near Deland, on a weekday.
John and Peter (the Dynamic Duo) have made this a kick-butt kayaking club w/lots of great trips. Thanks to other organizers as well, such as Kie! This is a great club with great people!
Your in Orlando, I just retired in Debary.
Can you paddle during the week?
Great meeting you on the Gores to Eureka paddle. Hope to see you again soon.
Unfortunately October 19th was the last good date for Biolum this year according to "a day away kayak tours".
You can try again next June..but September is the best month.
I was looking at moon phase when I said Nov. I looked into it more..and it is probably over til next year.
Unless someone with local knowledge says otherwise...I think it is a wasted trip. I'd shoot for September 2011
I'm retired...we can go anytime!
I love weekdays.
I posted weekend info ...but it will be good a few days before and after.
I would be up for a paddle in the morning leaving Blue Springs landing. [masked]
adayawaykayak tours has the moon schedule for Biolum.
Water needs to be warm. If they are taking folks then probably good.
So.. I'd Say November 6th..will be GOOD...and probably the final weekend due to it being cold.
You need 3 or 4 feet of water.
I see they have tried this from Menard May park.
I'd be glad to try it..BUT ONLY with a short paddle at a slow pace (for health reasons).
Opps, sometimes I forget to proofread my stuff! I meant 3-31/2 hours on the water....( this should be a max, I paddle at a swift pace so hopefully someone else may lead and I will "sweep". No biolumescience,
