Photography offers us a way to capture the world around us as we see it. It can be our source of escape into a world as unique as we are, it can be a way to make money, or just a lifelong hobby that can bring huge amounts of enjoyment. Whether you are a beginner and you just purchased your first camera yesterday or you are a seasoned veteran, you can never know all there is to know….. “As soon as we are done learning, we are done living…”

At “Adventures in Photography” our goal is to give you the resources you need to free yourself to be an amazingly creative photographer. Led by professional photographer Lloyd Rosen along with his talented wife Candy Rosen you will have the chance to learn what it takes to go from buying your camera to being published in magazines. Being extremely passionate about photography and the creative process, Lloyd has shot everything from night clubs and weddings to fashion erotica and editorial magazine spreads. We will have workshops that teach:

The Basics: How to work that crazy camera, and how all those settings work to your advantage when taking photos. From “P” Program mode….. to Manual and back again. We’ll get you feeling confident about using your camera.
Creativity: Seeing the world through the lens, what to look for and what makes a fantastic image.
Studio Lighting: We’ll begin with some basic techniques that you should know to take amazing photos in a studio setting and then we’ll advance to more interesting lighting that you might see in fashion and or fine art.
Digital to Advanced: Learn basic workflows when working with digital images, retouching techniques as well as beginner to advanced photo editing.

We will hold SHOOT-OUTS….

Working with beautiful models, we will shoot at a variety of fantastic locations. You will have your opportunity to shoot everything from fashion and swimwear to risqué. This will be a great opportunity to use what you learn in the workshops or just take what you already know and shine, on location and in a studio setting.

We will go on PHOTO Adventures…

We will take the time to go to all the fun places Southern California has to offer, giving you the chance to shoot some breathtaking scenery, get to know other fantastic people that share a common interest in photography and learn some new tricks and techniques from each other. And of course we’ll hold the occasional BBQ, just to eat some great food and talk shop…. Or just relax with your new friends.
