Let's play Touch Rugby!

  • Sports Fields Wellington Girls' College

Hobson Crescent 19, Thorndon, Wellington (map)

    -41.273952 174.780746

  • Let's play touch rugby and combine outdoor exercise with a bit of competition and fun! In touch rugby players do not tackle in the traditional, highly physical way, but instead touch their opponents using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball.

See this webpage for a full overview of the rules. Referee Michael Harvey will explain the rules on the day.

Difficulty level: 3/10; suitable for all fitness levels, but involves running

What to wear: sport shoes and comfortable clothes

Note: This event is weather permitting, so may be rescheduled, depending on the forecast. At least 10 participants are required for this event to go ahead.

    Touch rugby cancelled... :(
Unfortunately the weather forecast for tomorrow still is "overcast with showers", which would make the rugby games less fun. Also we don't want to damage the (recovering) school's sports fields. Therefore touch rugby has been cancelled. I'll look for a new date and post a new touch rugby event asap.
    Cheers
    Roy
