Sunset Walk - Tinakori (Te Ahumairangi) Hill

What we're doing
Walking up Tinakori Hill from the botanic gardens while the sun sets.
Description
We start at the top of the cable car in the botanic gardens at 6:30pm (or we can meet you at the sprig and fern at 6.45pm), head down through botanic gardens then up through Thorndon, (stick on a head torch if needed) and walk up Tinakori Hill while the sunsets for some awesome city views.
The hill provides some lovely views overlooking the city and the hills in the east then finally back down. A pint and a bite to eat are available at the Sprig and Fern at the bottom of the hill.
If you're keen for a challenging walk through beautiful natural bush, this one is for you!
Difficulty: 5/10
Time: 2 hours
What To Bring: Sturdy footwear. A wind and waterproof jacket and layers of clothing which you can peel off as you get hot and put on again as you cool (it does get pretty chilly) and a head torch.
This event will be cancelled if there are adverse weather conditions forecast-please keep an eye on your emails.
Please note no shows will apply if you cancel after 7pm the night before.
