Make Flags

Interested in helping us prepare for the great Sandcastle World Record event? Here is another chance. Help us make flags!

Time required: 18h30 - 19h30 (or longer if you can)

What to expect:

A smooth production line of flag making will proceed at the Southern Cross. A conveyer belt* will supply the components and you will assemble each quality flag with the minimal of effort.

DISCLAIMER: Artistic lisence may have been applied with the conveyer belt promise.

What are we making:

We need to make 1500 flags which will be used to mark those sandcastles which have passed the quality test.

During the event our quality controllers will measure each completed sandcastle and if the castle makes the grade, will stick a flag in it. At the end, the official sandcastle counter will collect a flag from each castle which they agree passed the test. These flags will then be counted to see if we have broken the record.

Awesome job everyone: 1,527 flags completed - enough for two world records!

How is this possibly difficulty level 2 ? what on earth is a 1 in this case, lying on the floor? Or is it the technical challenge of not stapling one's finger to a table (which i'm sure I'll ably demonstrate on the night) :)

I went by the concept that if it was easy we (AW) won't be doing it. So 2 it was. Anyway flag making can become quite complex the later it gets. There may even be some parkour involved.

I will be at laserforce from 6:30 - 7:30, but we will be heading to the southern cross afterwards. If you still need help with the flags at that point, then I will be more than happy to help.
