Sea swim!

Summer is on its way... and so is the triathlon season! So if you're looking to get some practice and build your confidence doing some sea swims (it is safer in numbers!) or just wanting to go for a dip in the sea after work - come along!!
Please note - this is just a gathering of people to go for a swim - no training or coaching is being provided. And you enter the water to a level you feel comfortable with!
What to bring
- Togs and towel (there are changing rooms and toilets at the beach)
- Wetsuits and swim hats are a good idea if you're going to be in the water for very long.
You are responsible for your own belongings - if you don't want to leave your valuables on the beach, don't bring any along! If someone has a car you can lock things in there, but there aren't any lockers.

This depends on how hard you want to go!

Hi, I am new to Wellington and would enjoy the sea swims! Can anyone recommend where I can get a new or used wet suit for a good price? Thanks!

Hi Lara, Rebel sports have ok surf suits pretty cheap.. else try trademe.co.nz If you are looking for a triathlon wet suit then wiggle.co.uk is nice and cheap and free delivery. But might take a week or 2 to get here and you need to know your size :)

Lindsay Parker - yip 2 x fountain again :) there is a group called Barbs tri swim group (or something like that) they normally go out on a sunday morning at ridiculous o'clock (8am) from either Freyberg or Scorching Bay - not sure if its costs though.
