Sunset Walk - Round the Bays

Watch the sunset from Oriental Bay!

If mountains and river crossings are not for you, then you'll love this tailored walk which is as flat as it's possible to get in Wellington! It starts at at the Embassy Theater in Courtenay Place and winds about 6km through Hataitai, around Evans Bay then Oriental Bay and ends at the Embassy Theater in Courtenay Place. As an added bonus, you'll get to walk through the Mt Victoria tunnel -- something on every Wellingtonian's bucket list!

The track is wide, with limited gradient and no (major) uphills!

The pace will be brisk so as not to miss the sunset but allowing for plenty of conversation.

Difficulty: 4/10

Duration: Around 2.5 hrs of walking (6.5 km)

Bring: Sturdy shoes, water, and some snacks.
