THIS IS AN EVENT FOR THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN SELECTED FOR THE DRAGON BOAT TEAM.
Technique is significantly more critical that brute strength in Dragon Boat racing and it is critical that the team are coordinated... so we've organised some sessions on paddling technique before we get into the boats for training in January.
We are very privileged to have Sue Jamieson who has agreed to give us a few sessions on paddle technique. Sue has coached Dragon Boat teams since 1996 and won medals at World and National Championships!!!!!!
For these sessions we will be sitting on the edge of a pool and practicing our reach and strokes. Thanks to Dragon Boat Festival organisers who are lending us paddles!
