
Pumping is a mountain biking skill where you use your body weight to increase your speed and control while on the trail. Get good at pumping and you'll ride faster, accelerate through corners, handle bumps better, maintain momentum, plan further ahead, have a great full body workout and loads more fun on your bike!
The plan: In the first of the YouTube Signature Series* we'll be heading off to a pump track in Miramar and having some fun going through the basic techniques of pumping.
Difficulty level: This event is for those that don't know how to pump or thought this event was about flat tires. We will be staying firmly on the ground but you should be comfortable on intermediate MTB trails as there is some sharp cornering involved.

What to bring: Mountain bike and helmet, gloves recommended. Pumping is hard work so water and snacks might be an idea.
Weather: This event will be rescheduled if the pump track is not dry.
