Hi Jenny, I am interested in the trip over Easter. Sorry I have been remiss in participating in posts... Anyways, I'm 29, fit and w/ some experience with hiking in alpine environments in US and Iceland, although just recreation stuff, not so technical. I am new to NZ.. I think I can get ahold of the proper clothing/gear for the trip...but might not be setup so great for an overnighter at this point. anyways, lemme know what your plan is looking like when you get a chance.
