Affiliate Summit Austin Meetup - Open Roundtable on Pinterest and Affiliates
The Affiliate Summit Austin Meetup Group is getting together on Tuesday, January 31st at 6:00pm at the Mangia Pizza Domain Location at 12001 Burnet Road @ Mopac.
Rather than a speaker talking to the crowd, we'll have an open discussion on Pinterest, and why it matters to affiliates and advertisers.
Now I've got a big incentive to get my Pinterest game going at http://pinterest.com/affiliatetip, so I have something to talk about!

Re 2nd link: Skim links does have an "amazon overwrite" feature built in. I don't think they have it activated.... yet.

Interesting read at Business Insider. From the looks of it, Pinterest is not hosting the images, but merely linking to them in an iframe. Seems like the same structure Google uses for Image search. Overall, copyright law seems out of date given the new technology available. I don't see many people on Pinterest claiming they made the photo or claiming it was their idea for that cupcake recipe. They are merely commenting on an image and categorizing it. No disclosed revenue = no lawsuit yet.
