Succeeding with ATDD
Last month at the Scrum Meet-up, you heard Andrew Fuqua talk about Specification by Example. We continue the conversation this month with a talk from Jeff Langr, "Succeeding with ATDD." Jeff will tell stories around a number of experiences he's had helping customers do acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) at a number of development shops, some good and some not so good. We'll talk about factors that help ATDD efforts succeed and factors that can be a barrier to success. From an implementation standpoint, Jeff will present his set of principles for good acceptance test design. Please come with stories to share!
Jeff Langr has been developing software since 1982, and has been helping teams succeed with agile methods since 2000. He's the author of four books on software development, including Modern C++ Programming with Test-Driven Development, Agile in a Flash, and Agile Java. Jeff runs the agile training and consulting company, Langr Software Solutions (http://langrsoft.com), from his home in Colorado Springs.
