We are hiring a Development Manager in our Conyers, GA office who will lead product development teams for our AIM software solution. Directs the activities of a team of Software Engineers practicing Scrum methologies. Key activities in the scope of this role include:
Manage a team of Software Engineers working on multiple teams practicing Scrum methodology.
Provides direction to and review of staff in various areas, and/or groups. Approves Product Team goals to achieve corporate and/or product objectives. Provides mentorship to engineers for professional growth in managing product teams.
Will strategize with senior management and peers on technology direction and product solutions and have the ability to oversee development/technology plans to bring strategic plan to fruition.
Assesses the right amount of information necessary to make good decisions and get the appropriate people involved in making those decisions.
Works as a sponsor of the Software Development Lifecycle, within organization, peers and management. Identifies and evaluates fundamental problems for functional areas.
Delegates to senior manager or discerns solutions for determined problems and implements.
Use software engineering skills and principles together with techniques of information engineering methodology to build application features, controls, objects and database procedures to implement the required functionality.
Manages utilization of corporate resources to ensure, as able, compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
Support other product development functions as needed including Quality Assurance, Technical Writing, Training and Release Control
Participate in the development of organizational policies and procedures related to software development. Accountable in overseeing implementation of policy in the product group.

Prior experience managing a team operating under Scrum or similar agile methodology.
Experience managing development of a hosted or SaaS product.
Extensive software development and design experience in is required.
Solid communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) and strong interpersonal skills required.
Must have a very high ability to learn new things, especially about new technology developments.
5-7 years of experience in a commercial software development environment.
3+ years as manager or lead developer with a demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring. Experience must include software project management and experience managing/mentoring staff at a manager level or higher.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
