Savvy businesses are learning that a content-rich website helps boost their search engine rankings, but also helps build credible and lasting relationships with their customers. But content-rich websites and organisations need help managing that content. Some of the lessons and strategies learned in publishing over the past ten years (XML, metadata, interoperable content) are increasingly applicable to these non-traditional “publishers”. Content-rich organisations need to find smart and efficient ways to manage their content assets. They need "agile" and intelligent content that can be delivered to the seemingly infinite number of devices and platforms with the minimum of fuss (and cost). We are currently embarking on a revolution of the content-management industry, which I hope to be a part of.
