I am intrigued at how many Technical Communicators do not make the connection betweeen what they do and content strategy. I have a passion for trying to correct this by communicating just how fundamental content strategy is in making technical documentation more accessible and understandable.
I was struck by a quote recently that you should "never stop learning......ever." As someone who has many years in the IT industry, I have something to offer. Yet I appreciate that I only got that experience by learning from others. It's two way traffic.
