This group is free. There is no cover charge other than what you pay for dinner.

I understand the value of products, services and other items that may be of interest to our users. I am a CSM. I build a Scrum product. I run Scrum projects... And I am keeping my employer's user groups listed separately because the community aspect is more important.

How to Hawk Politely
If you want to contact our community, here's my suggestion:

  • Join the community
  • Post a discussion topic of interest to the community. Include a link to your company or event in your signature.
  • Check for user posts. Answer them. Provide value. Be a mentor. It is not cool to post a link and run.

Choosing a Topic
Here is a list of sample topics:

  • "Scrum But" like "My manager says we are doing Scrum but it doesn't look any different than
    what we already do."
  • How to provide documentation on a Scrum project.
  • Why most effective CTOs think Scrum is junk marketing.

Creating Effective Signatures
The more value you provide in your topic, the more likely people are to click your link. Choose your landing page to target what you want people to see. Change your landing page appropriately to the topic. A link to your company home page is not as compelling as a link to your event listing or blog article.
