I drove by 200 N. Magnum street yesterday and if you haven't been there you'll see City Hall on your left hand side of the road - get in the right lane for parking. Relevance is in the same building as "Dos Perros" Mexican Restaurant (bright yellow building - you can't miss it.) Chris will meet us at the door. Here's a link to the restaurant so you know what it looks like as you near the building... (though remember Pillar will be bringing pizza!!)
http://blog.thegourme... See u there! Catherine ************************* As mentioned in our last meeting, Dr. Jeff Sutherland is coming to RTP July 26-27. On July 26th, Dr. Jeff Sutherland has agreed to come and talk to our Agile RTP crowd. For free. (YEAH JEFF!) Pillar will be donating pizza and drinks. Also for free. (YEAH PILLAR!) The subject of Jeff's talk is the early days at PatientKeeper: what all did they have to overcome to achieve the 400% increase in ROI? And please feel free to send me (cll at cll dash group dot com) your compelling questions in advance of this meeting, so that we can tailor the event to what you want to hear! Where: The Relevance Offices 200 N. Mangum Street; suite 204 Durham, NC 27701 When: Please arrive 6:30pm July 26th - we will begin the talk at 6:45pm. The office is in Suite 204 of the building: Christopher Redinger will be there to meet us as we arrive. Note on Parking: There is a parking garage right across the street that we use for parking. Parking will be free by the time the meeting is over. The only caveat is don't park on the very top floor, through the gates, because those gates close at night. Really enjoyed Jeff's discussion! It was great to hear his experiences and learn and absorb from them. Really liked his Aikido close!

It was very exciting to hear from one of the Pioneers of Agile. It was helpful to hear about implementing Agile in the context of Jeff's real life experience with PatientKeeper.

It far exceeded my expectations. I just finished telling a coworker that it was worth the price of admission. I learned so much, and it put a lot of things in perspective for me. I work on a completely distributed team where we are looking to adopt agile/scrum practices to improve in a number of ways. The things that I learned last night will be of tremendous benefit in my efforts to help my team adopt scrum. I look forward to the next opportunity to hear Dr. Sutherland speak. Thanks again for everyone who made it happen.

Jeff Sutherland is a great speaker, and this was no exception. I loved the part at the end about how Scrum is like Aikido - it's all about removing blockers.

Will this presentation be recorded and shared with those of us that cannot attend?

Yes it is full. We had enough room for 64 people and we have reached that limit.

    Sorry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
