What's the story of your product?

Your product has a story to tell. Your product backlog should reflect this. But does the backlog tell the story too?

Try and look at your backlog in different ways. One way of viewing your backlog is the Story Map. It will show you at a glance what your product is about, what the most important structures and features are, and what makes it nicer/cooler/more exciting/even better.

In this meetup we will talk about and experience Story Mapping. We will play a Story Mapping Game to show you what it’s all about. There will be ample time to discuss the results and share our insights regarding this excellent tool!

If you need a parking space, please let Michael Franken know in his post below (as I will be leaving the country soon).

Marc Evers & Sander Huijsen are looking forward to meeting all of you there! (I'll be at Agile2013 in Nashvillen thinking of you).

My story of product is ...
On August, the 1st I became father. Currently, the Product Owner proxies are busy creating the Product Backlog Items and communicate with the Chief Product Owner for ordering them in the Product Backlog ... that is kind of very dynamic as requirements change quickly and frequently. We are still busy learning the language of the Chief Product Owner.
As currently I am fully dedicated to the current project, I have to cancel my attendance for the meeting on tomorrow.

    • Ruud R.

Congratulations, Doralin! This one of the types of successful product release that involves vastly more work after the release than before it.

      August 5, 2013

    • Wiro van S.

Hi Doralin, I was actually hoping to meet you again tomorrow but I completely understand the shift in priorities. Along the lines of Bas' advice, I recommend the Personal Kanban approach of Jim Benson e.a. and as with any other system at least 80% of the cost are in the maintenance phase. Do enjoy and many congratulations to the whole team. Cheers, Wiro

    Is er uberhaupt nog plek?

    August 5, 2013

    • Astrid C.

Hi Thies, meestal vallen er op het laatste moment nog mensen af. Dus je zult waarschijnlijk zien dat de 2 mensen op de wachtlijst wel een plekje krijgen.
