Monthly Meeting: Agile Continuous Delivery

If you're not practicing Continuous Delivery, you're not practicing Agile. That's right, without the power of continuous delivery, your efforts at Scrum and Lean and XP are for naught. Agile is all about feedback. And you can't get feedback if your users can't access your application.

Jamie Kurtz, Application Development group lead at Indy's Fusion Alliance, and author of 'ASP.NET MVC4 Web API: Building a REST Service from Start to Finish', will join us on September 11th to explore the power and necessity of implementing continuous delivery on your software projects. Learn its benefits, techniques, technology options, difficulties, and - most importantly - what project managers and other team leads can do to make sure it happens.

Agenda:

5:30pm: Doors open - Registration, Networking, Food

6:00pm: Welcome and Intro (Matt Block)

6:15pm: Agile Principle (TBD)

6:30pm: Featured Speaker (Jamie Kurtz)

7:45pm: Wrap-up, Raffle (Matt Block)

8:00pm: Adjourn - Post meeting cocktails @ TBD

My thanks to the Rally Software team for supporting tonight's meeting, and for sounding off regarding their support for continuous delivery. I was aware of the downstream tool integrations for story and project management, but less so on the upstream test, build, and release tool integrations. Time for more reading.
