Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Training | Washington, DC | April 7 - 8

Scrum is an innovative approach to getting work done. The leading and fastest-growing of the Agile practices, Scrum is a framework for effective team collaboration on complex projects. Its holistic approach provides a small set of rules which create just enough structure for cross-functional teams to focus their efforts on solving what might otherwise be insurmountable challenges. Scrum was originally formalized for software development projects, but works well for any complex, innovative scope of work.

No matter what your background or industry is, SolutionsIQ Certified ScrumMaster training is a great way to get a strong start in Scrum. Even experienced Agile practitioners will benefit from the highly experiential simulations and “big picture” perspective provided by SolutionsIQ Scrum trainers, who are thought leaders in the Agile community and certified by the Scrum Alliance.

Scrum training benefits everyone on the team and gives them tools they can immediately use to accelerate team-building while they master the art and science of incremental delivery. You will learn the essential roles and practices that define Scrum and are used by thousands of successful Agile teams throughout the world. You'll also learn what practical steps you can take to form a high-performance team and how to successfully avoid the pitfalls that new Agile teams often encounter.

Our classes feature discussions, group exercises, and simulations.

You'll learn how to:
Maintain and use a burndown chart
Manage product backlogs
Plan releases and iterations (sprints)
Conduct sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings
Track and report progress
Effectively apply the principles of the Agile Manifesto

Students must participate in the full two days of the course. A continental breakfast, full plated lunch, and various snacks and beverages are included in the cost.

Because our course gives a great foundation in Scrum and the people skills necessary to make it successful in organizations, all stakeholders benefit from learning about its implementation for project or program management:
Team members
Team leads
Analysts and testers
Development managers
Product managers
Project managers
Directors, VPs, Executives
