Veteran Agile Writer Melissa Gay has her day in the sun - or at least the Times Dispatch!

BY PETER BACQUÉ Richmond Times-Dispatch

Melissa Gay put her name in the “pitchapalooza” hat at a writers’ conference last fall.

“If your name was pulled,” Gay recounted, “you got 60 seconds to stand in front of 300 people and pitch what your book is about.”

The “pitchapalooza” would be a chance for her to present her novel, “When Are You Leaving,” to a panel of book-marketing experts.
