One of the most powerful things you can do to help someone solve a problem is to ask great questions. However, crafting great questions is harder than it sounds. It's tempting to ask leading questions, or questions that carry a Trojan Horse payload of embedded advice. But the very best questions are those designed purely to elicit information about the problem, not offer hidden solutions. Such open-ended questions help people remember this forgotten information, look at it in new ways, and see new possibilities.
In this half-day session, Dale Emery explores how to use questions as a powerful coaching tool, helping people access information they already have to find solutions to their own problems.
Time: 1pm - 4pm.
