One of our regulars brought this lecture to my attention and I thought it would be a great AA field trip:
"Rights as an Epiphany of the Person" by Dr. David Walsh
Weds. 3/20 7:30 pm
at Baird Library (inside Walton Hall)
Eastern University, 1300 Eagle Rd, St Davids PA 19087
Dr. Walsh is Professor of Politics at The Catholic University of America. He is the author of a trilogy of books on the crisis of moral and spiritual order in modern political thought (After Ideology: Recovering the Spiritual Foundations of Freedom, The Growth of the Liberal Soul, and The Modern Philosophical Revolution: The Luminosity of Existence). He is also author of Guarded By Mystery: Meaning in a Postmodern Age, The Third Millennium: Reflections on Faith and Reason, and The Mysticism of Innerworldly Fulfillment: A Study of Jacob Boehme, as well as the editor of several volumes in the Collected Works of Eric Voegelin, and the author of numerous scholarly articles.
We can find a local coffee house afterwards to continue the discussion.
