12 mile hike - Neversink Mountain, Reading, PA

Neversink Mountain in Reading, Pa. offers an abundance of local history. This mountain has been home to many famous hotels and a railroad that operated in the late 1800's to early 1900's.

 

Hike Details:

Meet at the parking lot for the Exeter Scenic River Trail. The parking lot is located at the intersection of Gibralter Rd and Old Gibralter Rd in Robeson, PA @ 9:30a

This is a brisk 12 mile hike that starts and finishes on the Exeter Scenic River Trail and encompasses several trails on Neversink Mountain. Approximately 1/2 of the hike is flat along the river. The rest consists of several moderate and one signifciant climb. There is lots to see and learn along the way. Bring sturdy over-the-ankle footwear, water, snacks and lunch. Raingear, if necessary.

 

Sorry, no children and no pets. Heavy rain/snow will cancel hike.

Optional refreshment stop after hike at a local eatery.
