UX Akron x Akron & Canton Meetup - "Critique Session"

See this thread over on the UX Akron meetup page: http://www.meetup.com/UX-Akron/events/102673962/

The thought is to have a possible joint meet up with the two groups to critique a website/app/OS or anything. Feel free to make suggestions or join/attend the UX Akron group! Message me with any questions or post ideas here!

I plan on "bringing" a web app to critique. More info to come.

We have secured a date & location for the meet up. Please view the link above for more details and feel free to join the UX Akron group to RSVP to the event.

This will be my first time presenting, so any assistance on what to cover during this meet up would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all!

As was suggested at last nights meet up, it might be a better idea to critique something that none of us had a hand in (unless you really want to submit yourself to that...)

So my ideas thus far are to critique Windows 8, Elementary (http://elementaryos.org) and possibly some other OS's or websites. As always, feel free to make suggestions!

This topic could also be an open forum to display any current or finished projects you're working on that you wish to receive feedback on. I know personally, in a university setting, getting feedback and critiquing others work was extremely helpful for both parties. This is something I feel gets somewhat lost in certain workplaces...not all. Also, it could possibly be a personal project and therefore you have no where to turn except your fellow Akron web designer/developers! "Internet friends" can only provide so much useful feedback, while in person is always better in my mind!

As I mentioned, I posted this in the UX Akron Meetup group also (with little response), so maybe it is a poorly conceived idea...feel free to shoot it down if you don't think this type of discussion would be productive or worth attending.
