National Zoo

We'll spend about two hours wandering around the National Zoo.

At the Connecticut Avenue entrance in front of the lion statue on the right.

Directions: Parking at the zoo is limited and expensive ($10-$20). The zoo is metro accessible (about a four block walk): Take the red line train to Cleveland Park. Take the escalator or elevator to bring you up to the east side of Connecticut Avenue. When you emerge at street level, you should be on the same side of the street as the Metro elevator and a parking lot. Walk down (south) Connecticut Avenue, over the bridge, and the Zoo will be on your left.
