Burke Lake is beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing color. Sometimes the water is still enough that you can see the reflection of the trees in the water. I'm aiming this walk to be around the peak fall foliage, and with some luck, it will be beautiful this year. The walk itself is about 4.7 miles around Burke Lake. It's a
flat trail with a crushed stone and dirt surface. Estimated walking time is 1.25 - 1.5 hours. Please try to be on time. If you arrive after the group has departed, you can try to catch up with us. We'll be walking clockwise around the lake. This walk is not metro accessible. If anyone wishes to carpool, please make a note in your RSVP and contact each other to make arrangements.
Meetup Point Once you enter the park and pass through the gate, go straight and follow the signs to the marina. The road will dead-end into a large parking lot. We'll meet at the trail head which is near the entrance of this parking lot.
