This group was created to provide a service to the general public and allow individuals to experience Chinatown from an insider's perspective. This is not the typical dining out group. Our aim is to allow you to experience eating an authentic Asian meal with authentic Asian dishes with an Asian translator to help you to really experience the meal. You will be taught what the names of the dishes are, how to order it and what's the best ways to eat each dish. We are looking to provide truly authentic dining experiences. No General Tso or sweet and sour chicken here!


I myself am a first generation Chinese/Taiwanese American capable of speaking and reading Mandarin Chinese. I've lived in Philadelphia for almost a decade and I have frequented Chinatown and its many restaurants. Additionally, I have past experiences working as a cook in various restaurants. I am constantly studying recipes and learning to make different dishes. So, come join my friends and I as we take you on a tour of the best and most authentic Asian restaurants in Chinatown and beyond.


Come discover what I already have through years of visiting various restaurants and actually tasting the dishes myself. Come try all the new and interesting dishes you may never have tried before. We'll order dishes from a native language menu you may never have seen at a restaurant you otherwise would never have gone to!


We are looking for the adventurous and those that seek food that's simply delicious. From my own personal favorite Cantonese style dishes like Sa Jiang Ji, Jiao Yen San Bao, Ban Lan Bao to my favorite Sichuan dishes like Sui Zu Yu, Xiao Chao Yang, Kou Sui Ji we'll try it all. Don't know what these dishes are? Then come and learn it and try it.


We will have an Asian translator that speaks the language and knows the food at every restaurant we go to. This way we can order and try the best and most authentic dishes that the place has to offer. We will have translators that represent the country's cuisine that we are eating. You'll not only be able to try the food but also learn about it and that country's culture.

Meet up details:

Meals will most likely be designed in advanced and menus will be shared with meet up attendees before the event. In order to do this as well as promote good attendance we will be charging for the event in advance. We will not be able to extend refunds because the food will already be paid for in advance.

Meet ups will always occur after 5pm during the weekdays and could be anytime during the weekends.
