Have you been to Chinatown to eat before? What are your thoughts of Chinatown? If you've been, which restaurants have you been to and what are your favorite dishes?

I have. I like Chinatown but often feel like I don't know what to order and can get overwhelmed. I can't say I remember what the name of the restaurants were or what dishes I ordered.

Is there a particular restaurant that you've been wanting to try in Chinatown but never have? Generally, what are your favorite foods?

None in particular. I'm mostly just eager to learn about Asian culture and to eat a lot of food. I'm not a picky eater and like mostly everything. I tend to enjoy street food. But also like more refined stuff as well.

As we are looking for the adventurous and those willing to try anything once tell us what is the strangest thing you've ever ate.

I once went to a wild game dinner where we ate bear, lion, alligator, antelope, python, etc.

Would you consider yourself a lover of Asian food? If so, what country's cuisine do you love the most and why?

I'm largely ignorant of real Asian food. But would like to learn!

What's the main reason you wish to join this group and what would you like to gain from this group that will make your time worth while?

I'd like to know what is real Asian and Asian-American food. I'd like to learn about the ingredients and techniques used. I'd like to get an insiders view of Chinatown. I'd also sometime like to learn Chinese. But that's ambitious.

My name is Daniel. I'm a music teacher. I enjoy cooking, food, beer, music, comedy and learning about other cultures.

What Dan is saying about this Meetup Group

I've only been to two meetups so far, but they both have been fantastic.
