Kayak Day Trip: Exploring Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park + Newport Arms Pub

Just Added: We'll have a short talk about the local fauna & ecology from the resident manager at the YHA in the park. He will give us a tour of the facilities and we'll be able to use the toilets and such for our lunch stop. Spend a day on colourful Pittwater, famous for its myriad of bays and coves for picnic lunch on a secluded beach. Experience Elvina and Lovett Bays – Many Swimming opportunities in the sparkling waters, and gazing at the luxurious waterfront homes. We'll paddle by Church Point and Scotland Island discussing a bit of the history of the area as well.

We are renting 7 high quality double kayaks from Freedom Outdoors, and I'll be guiding us around the peaceful waterway. I was just on the water last weekend in the sunshine, and went for many swims in the clear water. There is a small beach called Morning Bay we'll hope to stake out for a nice 'beach picnic party'. We'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the area, stopping to get out of the boats a few times to make the most of the day. Single or double person signups are most welcome, and we'll match you up with a partner if you need on the day.

Trip Departs McCarrs Creek Reserve at 11am, return back by 3.30pm -
Post Trip Pub: The famous Newport Arms hotel and outdoor garden is close by for a group beverage/dinner afterwards if you like.

hope to see you on the water!

A great day out on the water. Good trip length and difficulty given our various experience levels. Stunning location and scenery to paddle past with a calm inlet to eat lunch in.

Gorgeous area and fun group of people to paddle with - Lunch on the secluded beach was my favorite part of the day. The weather was just perfect! )with rain holding off just long enough for us to finish.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
