Roll 6PM - Wed Rokform Ride - Whiting Ranch - 2 Options :-)

I will be out of town for work, but Matthias, JD, & Jorge will be there to lead & sweep! Have fun all! :-) Hi Everybody,

We are back with Team Rokform MTB Wednesday to Whiting Ranch Regional Park and most likely for the last time this season. (Yeah days are getting shorter and daylight is not our friend anymore). Here is the link to download the map: (http://ocparks.com/civicax/filebank/blobdload.aspx?BlobID=15841).

When: Wednesday 09/03/14, roll off sharp at 6:00pm Garmin Time,

Where: Meet at 05:45pm in the parking lot in front of Wahoo’s (for your GPS: 27412 Portola Pkwy # A
Lake Forest, CA 92630). We suggest to arrive between 5:30pm and 5:45pm. You should be able to spot us with our Rokform Team Jersey’s. We will have a short meeting about safety rules before roll off.

Novice Rider / Social Pace Course Description:
I guess you can call this the classic loop! We start with Borrego Trail then up the famous Mustard Road to 4 Corners down on Cactus Hill Road, then Sleepy Hollow Trail. Last but not least the very fun Serrano Cow Trail and back to Wahoo’s on Live Oak Trail and Serrano Road. Experienced Rider / Faster Pace
Pretty much the same loop but with a few extra credits like Vista Lookout Trail, Cattle pond and then of course up Santiago Ranch Road , Vulture View and Sage Scrub.
We might add “Line Shack Road” and Oakley Grounds at the end before it gets dark.

The next planned ride:
09/10 Aliso and Woods Canyon Regional Park
09/17 O’Neill Regional Park

As always, looking forward for a great ride and lots of fun!

Hi again...I'm changing my RSVP to 'no'. Now expecting my meeting in Beverly Hills to run late, so will ride with you all another time soon :)

Hi there! My 'Yes' rsvp for tomorrow's ride is a 'maybe'...driving in from Beverly Hills at around 4:00, so hoping to make it on time for the ride. If I'm running late, I'll post so you all aren't waiting for me. :)

One side note reminder/clarification: Last week we had some folks take their helmets off while climbing with the group(which lead to them descending a section without it, too). Helmets are mandatory on the ride & must be worn properly on your head throughout the ride. It's a large group with limited leaders/sweepers so please show some respect for the control riders & protect your noggin for us! Thank you!

I'll be doing the shorter route. Definitely not a fan of the "walk" to Vista Lookout Point.
