I came to know about this restaurant through some members. I heard that this place has amazing korean food!
Highlights - Big Mama is a small casual Korean eatery which is located a stone throw away from Tiong Bahru MRT, it is nearer to Kim Tian Plaza than Tiong Bahru Market. Just opened its door about a year, yet it attracts a lot of people who love Korean cuisine, many native Koreans, and even foreigners - Ji-young Nam Gung nick-named as “Big Mama” – the really humorous owner of Big Mama restaurant used to be a former maths and science teacher. Then she has decided to utilize her experience from cooking Korean food for Korean students in Singapore to start her business with her friend. Big Mama Korean Restaurant offers a really comfort ‘Home Style’ cooking. “Big Mama” in apron cooks some dishes by herself at tableside on portable cooker while explaining the intricacies of Korean cuisine to novices and giving you some useful advice on the best ways to eat every dish – a seldom scene of Korean restaurants in Singapore. Big Mama’s highly recommended dishes are shown explicitly on the walls so you will recognize which dishes are worth your try - Waitresses are earnest and enthusiastic.
Ambience - The restaurant is designed in standard no-frills Korean style - Clean and healthy place with the white-washed walls and well lit lights - With Korean guests, Korean programming from a television in the corner and great family service, you will feel like dining in a cozy house of Korean friends.
