Ukulele, Hula, and Lots of Aloha

Get a jump on the weekend with Pat Enos, ukulele, and hula - great friends, great music, and great times.

The weekly program is conducted by Pat “Palika” Enos.  Pat is a highly experienced emcee and group leader, a well-respected ukulele teacher, and a widely-known professional entertainer.  Pat is also Owner and President of Bill Tapia Ukuleles.

Everyone is invited.  Aloha Thursdays attendees include ukulele players and hula dancers of all abilities and of all ages (well-behaved kids are always welcomed).  As Alaka’i (Musical Director), Pat will showcase a great variety of songs spanning many genres and many eras.  These are in addition to traditional Hawaiian-language mele (songs) and favorite hapa haole tunes.  You’re bound to find something to love among the many songs you’ll be playing.

Ukulele strumming plus playing tips and tricks - and it's free!

Interested in hula?  Come dance if you already know or learn from a professional Kumu Hula (hula teacher).  Prior to the start of each Thursday’s ukulele event, students will meet for one hour in order to learn the enchanting art of hula.

Friends and family are always welcome - and that includes even the non-ukulele playing types.  Bring them along.  They’ll enjoy the music and the hula - and we might even manage to have them playing the ukulele by the time they leave.

Hungry or thirsty?  Our Elks hosts serve-up a wonderful assortment of food and drinks - generous servings at bargain prices.

So stop by this Thursday.  You’ll quickly discover that we’re a warm, friendly, and welcoming group.  For more details, see our website: www.alohastrum.com.
