Update/Intro to WA State Resources for RE

Our new Governor Jay Inslee starts work in January 2013, and he's a huge advocate for renewable energy and cleantech innovation. This meetup will bring together reps from various agencies supporting RE, and the newly energized Seattle RE Meetup group. We'll try to get Jay or his rep to show up too, so the dialogue can get charged up. Learn who in state government can help your RE ambitions!  Read about Gov. Inslee's clean energy vision here:

http://www.seattlemet.com/news-and-profiles/publicola/articles/the-economics-of-clean-energy

DETAILS:  The Meetup is at the McKinstry Innovation Center at 210 S. Hudson St in South Seattle, a few blocks south of Costco off of 4th Ave South.  Check out who is based in the Center!   http://mckinstryinnovationcenter.com/currentinnovators/

The Center is on the 3rd floor of the building.  The 1st and 2nd floors are *free* parking; you can access the 2nd floor from a ramp on the NORTH side of the building.  Take the CENTER elevators (not the ones on Hudson st side) to the 3rd floor, and follow the noise to the north end of the center.  There will be beverages and snacks (chips, cookies, veg platter).  We'll have intros and then short presentations by some of our state RE leaders who are eager to hear from SREM members:  What can the Meetup do to increase the dialog between leaders and the public?

Sorry folks- I have the bug and can't make it. RA POWER & LIGHT is a Seattle-based commercial solar developer that design / builds rooftop & canopy PV systems for less than $3 per DC watt- installed. We manage the asset entirely for 10 years and guaranty annual production here in the PNW. Under our Operations & Maintenance plan, If the system misses annual production targets by >3 days in a calendar year, we write a check for the difference- for 10 years.

Zero down, 20 year capital equipment lease financing and we often can sell the Fed Tax credit and depreciation to knock lease payments down well below monthly energy production.

Manufacturing, food and beverage processing, cold storage, publishing, coffee roasters, aerospace and similar industries are all prime opportunities - Earn significant referral fees on projects that successfully close. RA POWER & LIGHT LLC is on Facebook, and I'm on Linkedin. Green For Good®

    Regards and thanks,

I am totally with you regarding solar, Michael, and will help in any way I can to help people learn about the benefits of solar. Coal and oil have such powerful lobbyists, that they've made the American middle class believe that we have no choice but to give in and support fossil fuels. They are WRONG! I

have studied and done research on renewables for more than ten years, and know that solar is the way to go, whether for its benefits to the environment, or for it's ability to provide thousands and thousands of jobs for needy people.

Hi guys, I wish I could make it, but my work schedule is hampering my attendance and by the time I get down there it'll be half over. Hopefully I can attend another event soon.

I would like to show a dvd about cold fusion sometime in the future. Would that be possible?

I am primary research assistant to MPM Associates, a Florida-based company specializing in writing grants for energy companies: I have been at MPM for more than ten years, and want to learn more about renewables and renewable research and investment from Seattle meetup members.
