Alt+Friends Craft Committee

Feeling crafty? Join us for the first meeting of our "Craft Committee" where we will be creating crafts to sell for the Second Saturday Craft Fair. We will have supplies for iris folding and matchbook journals, but feel free to bring your own supplies and creativity. Make a craft for us to sell and one to take home!

This is a great idea for raising library funds, and I hope it continues to grow to more crafters. I enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing the matchbook journals. One thought: Is it possible to extend the craft meetings to more than one hour? Thanks again for putting this together!

Two hours works better for me, either earlier or later, whichever works for the working crafters.

6PM on a Tuesday is good for me.

I'm new to this group, so:
What does make a craft, take a craft mean? Is this an exchange? And, does the craft fair benefit libraries?

Hi Diana, at this event we will be making crafts for a Second Saturday Craft Fair. This isn't a craft exchange, but if you make something for us to sell, you are welcome to make something for yourself to take home. The proceeds from this (and other Alt+Friends fundraisers) help to fund Alt+Library Programs. Alt+Library is a programming initiative from the Sacramento Public Library that does things like book clubs in local coffee shops, punk rock aerobics, craft events, etc.

I clarified it in the description. Hope we will see you there!
