In collaboration with Capital Stage, Notable Books will feature The Real Thing by celebrated English playwright Tom Stoppard, known for Shakespeare in Love and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Director Janis Stevens will discuss the special challenges of staging Stoppard's witty, intellectually-stimulating, and deeply-moving script. Cast members will join her to perform scenes from the play.
Vouchers for discount tickets to the Capital Stage production (running January 22 to February 23) will be distributed to patrons attending this presentation.
Return for the follow-up talk by Stephanie Tucker and David Bell on February 16.
