About Altrupreneurs

The word altru-preneur combines "altruism" and "entrepreneur" into one word to describe a new type of social entrepreneur whose aim is to reach financial freedom so that they commit themselves to public interest, consumer advocacy, personal development, and social justice causes.

The book, Altrupreneur, nearing completion by Alex Lavidge, showcases self-made millionaires and those who have inherited wealth between the ages of 18 to 40 that live a simple lifestyle. Each day they're reducing their ecological footprint and are consciously building a sustainable future in a specific, measurable way.

These altrupreneurs are redefining the American Dream. It's no longer about the big house, boats, cars, fancy trips, and material status symbols. Instead, wealth is measured by the amount of free time that exists to focus on "triple-bottom line" endeavors that aim to be profitable, of benefit to the community, and protect the environment.

This community evolved from "Life is a Business" which quickly became one of the top 5 personal growth meetup.com groups in the United States. The idea was to create a space where we could come together to hold each other accountable with reaching our personal goals. We also have used each meeting as an opportunity to discuss the practical business principles of personal achievement. From creating a Board of Advisers to writing a personal mission statement, together, we?ve developed a statistically proven and empowering life management system that will be published soon and also available for free off of the Web.
