Had a lot of fun; I appreciated the warm reception and great comments. Sorry I have to wait for Mid-September for the next meeting. as I have a prior and unbreakable commitment on Sept 8.

I really enjoyed sitting and listening to the great variety of writing talent. It was such a pleasure to be back.

Sorry but I won't be able to make it on Sunday Aug. 18 as my Rabbit is having kittens.

I think rabbits and kittens are codewords for Guinness and Jameson.

Kind suggestion for all who want to read and to save time. It helps to bring a maximum of 4 pages/1800 word max count. Anything more wastes time and doesn't let everyone read.

It doesn't necessarily waste time, but it's not necessarily courteous unless people are willing to take the extra time.

This is ridiculous! This group should have disbanded when I left New York! In fact, nothing outside of my senses exists, so I shouldn't even being seeing this page because there isn't actually anything beyond these walls of Houston.

The only place more human than Houston, TX is my underwear.

I meant "humid." I had an exhausting day of boring ass orientation.

Another goodie, and new people (who'll get to read next time...)

Wow, this meeting was an eye-opener as to what some writer's are daring enough to share in an open forum. Bravo to them! I was impressed with their bravery as I had to muster the courage to share - even though I didn't actually get a chance. Hope I'll be brave enough next time! Some excellent writing in the works. Happy to be a part of it!

A lot of good writing and lots of good feedback.

Ran out of time. I was looking forward to the work of the two authors who did not get a chance to read. I hope they come to the next meeting.

As many of you know, I've been offered a job in Houston, Texas (though I've yet to receive the actual offer from Inhuman Resources). This Sunday, 11 August, 2013, 8 pm to close, all-you-can-bowl for $12, shoe rentals included at Commack AMF Lanes. This is my going away thing.

Did you want to bring people I don't know? Sure, as long as they're not @&&holes.

I'm leaving New York for my new job in Houston on Tuesday morning, so don't expect to see after Sunday night because I'mma be stressed and have a lot to do in the final day.

If you can make it, great, otherwise I hope to see you when I visit.

No, I will not say anything, as I am trying to keep my mind out of the gutter.

    • Karen Jakubowski

In order to keep it out of the gutter you must first remove it from the gutter!

No spots left? Guess I won't get a chance to share my writing until next time.

Now is not the time for fear. That comes later.
