The entrance (a 50 yard drive in) is on Rte 112, just a short distance from the Charlestown Elementary School. Large brown preserve signs heading in either direction.

Unfortunately, I got sick and there is no way I am going to be able to make this hike. Hopefully, it happens again.

Hard to predict. When we're done at Carter, perhaps 1:30.

Hey guys, I'm new to the club (and hiking), which means I'm not privy as to what would be considered beginner-advanced hikes. I'm good for saturday, but the microspikes definitely have me concerned that this hike may not be for beginners. Am I correct in thinking this?

Traction devices may be needed because of potentially icy conditions. Microspikes are a brand name of these devices, much beefer than Yak-Trac which tend to be ineffective on ice. We will be hiking at a moderate to faster pace, but the trails are relatively flat.
