I tried to change confirmation to "not attending." Don't know why it did not work. Cannot attend this time, as I would be late...

What is worse than new taxes? Will our IRA's be confiscated and forced into "annuities" with no heirs allowed? Lots of trial balloons this week on the subject. For those of us with large IRA's, saying "no thank you" to our continued partnership with Uncle Sam and paying the taxes in 2012 might be the only real choice.

After all, the government has harvested our interest payments and now will go after our IRA retirement savings.

Anyone read the article on Dec. 12, 2012 in the WSJ entitled, "U.S. Terrorism Agency to Tap a Vast Database of Citizens? Did you see this interview of Jullian Assange by Erin Burnett at

More reference works on this subject include "Top Secret America: The Rise of the New American Security State" by William M. Arkin and Jullian Assange's new book out a few weeks ago, "Cypherpunks:Freedom and the Future of the Internet" which is very hard to find. A seller of Cypherpunks exists in the USA.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
