For American Expats new to Lisbon who would like to get quickly acquainted with the city and for Portuguese or other non-Americans who would like to experience a taste of American culture.
The purpose of the group is twofold: (1) Develop new connections with fellow Americans in Lisbon to share experiences and do fun activities together. (2) Help new Expats find contacts for Language Training, Entertainment and Community Activities. And also for advice on getting residence cards, apartments and utilities. Which can be a hassle!
American Expats who are new to the city and ones who have been living here are invited to join. Many of you have different experiences and skills to share with the group. Also, it's fun to be with the American Expats during major American sporting events such as College and Professional sports, American Holidays, etc.
Portuguese and other non-Americans who wish to improve their language and cultural knowlede of America are encouraged to attend.
