The new pub is the Water Poet! Due to the Princess Alice being unable to accommodate our number we have shifted locations to The Water Poet Pub, which is right in nearby Spitalfields

This is one of the worlds best Sunday Roast!

We met last year for Easter Sunday roast and it was a fabulous time. About 80 of us met last year and more than double are expected this year. Anyone over for the Easter bank holidays and not jet setting to far away climes are welcome to join us for a great roast lunch this Sunday at the The Water Poet Pub off Liverpool St Station, Bishopsgate in Spitalfields.

The Water Poet Pub is a cozy casual pub with worn in leather sofas, a great pool table area (which we will definitely be making use of!) with great pulled ales, bitters and stouts on tap plus they do some of the best roasts in town. deceptively small looking on the outside, The Water Poet is enormous on the inside. We will be in the outside area in the back, to the left, which is covered by a massive awning, loaded with heat lamps and fully furnished so is described by the venue as "outside in". The Water Poet has also been described as "elegantly scruffy".

As an added bonus there is the Dennis Severs House just next door which is an 18th Century Huguenot home meticulously restored and refurnished to be just as it might be if an 18th Century family were currently occupying it; a definite one off! Tours run from 12:00 till 3:15 and are £8.00. We will be at the Water Poet from 1:30 till very late, at least 9:00.

So for an easy Sunday over a newspaper, a great pub lunch and maybe a round of pool with new friends come down and join us!

Directions
Tube: Liverpool Street. The Water Poet is right off Bishopsgate on Folgate Street, just past the massive RBS Building.

As the following day is a bank holiday we may move the party on to very nearby Spitalfields as the night progresses. See you there!

Shane: It's street Parking or paid lot parking (This is The City of London); worth it as it is a great way to spend Easter. Street Parking may be available and free as it is EASTER Sunday and no one around. They may also just tow your car just for laughs. I'd check TLC first. Worth it to pay and park; plenty available. Congestion charges may apply. If you are driving in do us all a favor and pick Mitzi up for us! I'm sure she will split the gas and parking/congestion charges. (email her bellow)

Hope you can make it, Mitzi. Anyone live outside zone 6 along the ilford-romford-shenfield route and fancy giving Mitzi a lift?
