American showman, vocalist and noted songwriter Steve March Torme, son of the late jazz legend Mel Torme is set to perform in London this week and is accompanied by Long time American Meetup member, the superb singer Tammy Weis. Steve's latest CD "Torme Sings Torme" (AIX Records), is a heart-felt tribute to his father and features much-loved jazz and swing standards and romantic ballads. With Steve Rawlins on piano and bass, Steve will make his UK debut at London's premier jazz venue Pizza Express Dean Street with renowned London-based jazz singer Tammy Weis as his special guest on Friday April 24th.

Steve March Torme has performed with an array of stars, including Liza Minnelli, Diane Schuur and his late father, jazz legend Mel Torme.

Long time American Meetup member Tammy performed to great acclaim in her native Canada,appearing at the Montreal and Vancouver Jazz festivals. Now resident in London, her debut CD 'Legacy', (dedicated to her late mother) has been universally received, leading to several appearances on national TV and radio. Her UK highlights include guesting with Jamie Cullum at London's Jazz Cafe, singing with Ian Shaw and Lianne Carroll at the Royal Opera house, and performing opposite Kenny Garrett and Curtis Stigers at the Legendary Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. Tammy has been writing with Grammy Award winner Terry Britten (Tina Turner), Tim Fraser (Lulu), and Tom Cawley (Curios), for her forthcoming album out later this year!
