Lewis Schaffer's Five Star Show in Soho Wednesday
Long time American meetup member and famous comedian Lewis Shaffer is performing this week at his regular London venue on the heels of a very successful tour. Don't believe me; read the review bellow!
We're going to be joining him this week, as is American comedian and comedy writer John Reynolds. New Yorker Lewis is not a tourist, an asylum seeker or on business. He's a hostage... He left the bright lights and Big City of New York for London over 8 years ago, well, Nunhead anyway.
Lewis Shaffer is an amazing, bust a gut comedian. You gotta know what you are getting into beforehand; I've personally witnesses many an audience member leaving Lewis's show in both floods of tears and peels of laughter. It's all how you take it. He will find some weakness in an audience member and make it part of the shtick; it's all in good fun, just don't sit in the first few rows! (like when you see Shamu at Sea world!)
The Source Below is a deceptively disguised as a patisserie upstairs (which is it's day job) with the bar downstairs. strangest venue in a good way; pastisery/ coffee bar upstairs, swanky jazz boozer downstairs; so you can have fresh baked goods and coffee, or scotch on the rocks, or whatever your tipple is. It's sure to please.
We meet in the downstairs bar from 7:00 to socialize a bit before the show which starts at 8:30. There is a £5 cover on the door that goes strait to the Lewis Shaffer. Don't be the late guy getting in or you're just asking for it! : )
See you there!
Directions
The venue is equadistant to both Oxford Street or Picadilly Circus Tube stations
On the corner of Brewer and Lower John Street
