Some Tax Advice Help...
http://www.greenbackt...

As you probably already know, US citizens living and working abroad are required to file a US tax return every year, even if they are already filing a local tax return here in the UK. This can be a daunting task as you will likely need to fill out not just the 1040, but also additional forms such as the 1116, the 2555 and maybe the TDF 90-22.1. Fines for not filing can be significant and we recommend you don't delay filing your returns since the IRS has recently doubled the budget for staff tracking down US citizens living abroad.

Most US tax software programs don't adequately address expat tax concerns, and many US CPAs don't have enough experience in expat tax returns to be able to advise clients properly. Those that do often charge a small fortune! Mistakes can be costly, so make sure you choose an expert to help you with your taxes. Greenback Tax Services's CPA's are experts with over 10 years experience completing US tax returns for US citizens living abroad. In addition, our service will not leave you with any nasty surprises since we charge a flat rate of $299.99 to complete your US Federal tax return. And if you've fallen behind on your US taxes and need to file a few years at a time, we can help with that too!

For a "no fuss, no hassle" tax preparation service that is accurate, fast and easy to use, register with Greenback Tax Services today. Visit their website and drop them an email:

The Tax-man Cometh for Expats
A Taxing time for American Expats: Professional Advice for UK / US Tax Returns!
http://www.greenbackt...

Hello fellow expats!

The 2010 budget for the IRS has increased by $128 million and 800 new agents have been hired to track down people with money overseas and prosecute those who have not been paying taxes.

US citizens living abroad are now under the microscope!

Act now! Although expats are granted an automatic filing extension to June 15th, on April 15th money you owe the federal government starts to accrue interest.

Click on the link below to get started on your US tax preparation with Greenback Tax Services.
http://www.greenbackt...

Individual return preparation is $299.

About Greenback Tax Services:

Greenback Tax Services is solely devoted to tax preparation for US citizens living abroad. We are also US expats who have lived outside the US since 2002. Getting tired of paying too much to have our own US tax returns completed by someone who knew less about the Expat tax rules than we did, we founded Greenback Tax Services

Sincerely,
David McKeegan

Hello

To my great dismay, I recently learned that I should have been filing US tax returns. I've been living in the UK for the past 5 years so I'm in a bit of a panic as I'm not sure how much I owe if I owe. Could I get the name of the accountant who can help me file back tax returns? My email is msmeaux@hotmail.com.

Many thanks.

Hi Paul,

I'm a US qualified Independent Financial Advisor, from The Washington DC area, living and working in London. If you or anyone else needs some help with their Investments Insurance or Taxes I'll be able to help you or recommend you to someone. There are 2 or 3 companies I partner with who deal with US and International ex-pats.

Feel free to email me here. I would be more than happy to set up a coffee evening or day to speak to a group.

Thanks,
Christina

I filed my taxes the first year i was here but i haven't any other year because I wasn't working until last year. It's still true if you don't earn any money then you don't have to file a tax return isn't it? Also, to the person who was worried...if you didn't make over £82k you won't have to pay any taxes anyway because the uk has a reciprocal agreement with the U.S. But saying that I'm going to file this year just because I did make a little money last year in my minimum wage job...lol
