This week's Facebook topic is: What is your number one hobby or interest right now other than Japanese?
There will be many obvious ones like video games. But maybe there will be some more out-of-the-ordinary choices like dressmaking or hog breeding. Don't be afraid to share! :p
I heard that Linda had an excellent Event this past Sunday and MANY photos were taken. That's awesome! The day seemed to be extremely Japanese and I am really impressed. You really can do practically anything in Manhattan!
We have 2 upcoming Events (1 in November and 1 in December). Please RSVP for these upcoming Events as soon as you can! Lauren's Karaoke Events are major fun so please join us for a great day!
Emily H's 日本交流会 Japanese x American Cultural Exchange Party on Saturday, November 17th:
Lauren's All-Japanese Karaoke on Saturday, December 1st:
Thank you to Michelle, Jennifer, Mimi, Nathaniel, Brian, Linda, Emily and Jennifer for your Facebook posts. One way or another, we are staying connected. And I am super happy that we are beginning to recover from the hurricane! Some people are still really suffering and my heart goes out to them. If you can donate to a cause or offer help to somebody that was affected by the hurricane, please consider doing so. I donated to the Breezy Point fund because it looks like an atomic bomb hit it and they need our help!
See you on Facebook!
Japanese Language 24/7 Policy: Inactive (non-participating) members will be gently deleted from our roster on a weekly basis. The definition of "inactive" is a member who does not post on Facebook OR attends any Group Events for 30 consecutive days. To be considered "Active" and to avoid being gently deleted, come to at least 1 Meetup Event a month OR post at least 1 Facebook post a month. Thank you. And I am always available for any questions or help in regard to Japanese language. If you want or need help, please ask. We are all here to learn WITHOUT judgment or trolling. The only bad Japanese that will get you booted from this group is NO Japanese (or being a no-show at an Event.)
