The Amsterdam Node Meetup

We will have the following talks on our upcoming meetup:

1) 'RequireJS' by James Bryan Graves. James is a familiar face in the Amsterdam startup scene and organiser of the popular Hackers and Founders meetup. He is currently the driving technical force of Rockstart accelerated startup Ideedock.com and he will talk about his experience with requireJS, a module loader for both in-browser use and Node.

2) 'Live coding' by Kaare Larsen. Kaare is frontend developer at Bottlenose.com, where he lives and breaths javascript. The rumor goes he even dreams in javascript.. He will be presenting the bottlenose approach to live coding to help you speed up development time.

3) 'Writing native C++ NodeJS moduls (and why some would do that)' by Markus Pfundstein. He is the Lead Software Engineer at Xite where he is (amongst other things) working with Node.js on video broadcasting. He will provide some a great insight into the inner workings of node and show us how you could write your own module.

I hope to see you all upcoming Thursday at Bottlenose HQ: Volkskrantgebouw on the second floor (different room than our first meetup).

My first meetup, the discussion was quite interesting and I manage to got some hint of where the node.js / javascript community is moving to.

Is it an idea to give the presentators a bit more time so that they can give a more indepth presentation?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
